UPDATED: JAN 18, 2015 12oz bottle in a plastic hotel cup. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, light hops, and dough. Not sure about the freshness of this bottle, but the flavor isn’t great. Average texture. More of an amber ale than an IPA. EDIT: Tried at the brewery and it was much better fresh. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma strong of the piney and citrusy and resinous hops. Maybe a little too bitter, but still pretty goo.d

473 mL can from LCBO served cold in a tulip glass. Cloudy bright amber with a full tan head. Quite resinous and dank, lots of pine, green and leafy, a touch peppery, some peach and apricot notes, caramel and toffee support as it warms, nice. Medium+ body with prickly carbonation. Quite resinous, dank, pine, peach and apricot, a bit peppery, caramel and deep toffee support, serious and stern; dry with pretty good bitterness and a caramel and toffee and resin finish.

Can LCBO. golden amber with a nice white head and lace. Caramel malts and pine with fruit nectar. Bitter and sweet with some floral/grassy character. Mouthfeel is sticky and rough. Very good, but also very heavy.

Deep amber copper with a white, lacy, lasting frothy head. Smells of pine, tropical fruit, grapefruit firn tree, caramel. Nice hops. Sour taste right off the back with a caramel centre and a dry bitter pine finish. Sharp hop finish.

Hazy yellow with a medium beige collar. The aroma of hops a bit fruity. The taste is hop. Perhaps this is a bit fruity, but rather bitter from start to finish. The palate is a bit creamy for an IPA.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2013 Pours a nice strong golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is fruity with pears dominating. Some light grassy notes. Taste is sweet and bitter with sweetness winning by an inch maybe. Flavors of fruits again, tropical with some pine accents. Litchees and pear is what I would describe them as. Pretty unique flavor profile. Bitter finish lingers for a long time. Mouthfeel is a little sticky, carbonation medium. Not sure how fresh this bottle was but it was still really tasty!

341 mL bottle. A little on the dark side for the style, not that that’s a problem. This one is alittle rough around the edges and/or unrefined. That’s okay, there are lots of refined IPA’s out there. You couldn’t drink more than a couple of theses in a sitting, though.

Pours old-penny brown with a light brown head that sticks around with some lacing. Smells of hops and pine. The taste has a lot going on with it. Definitely citrusy hops, apricot, and cam. Very nice creamy mouth feel, mildly bitter aftertaste. Might be my new hoppy beer of choice. Sorry Mad Tom, don’t be...uh...mad.

What a treat! Nice hops on the nose. Some excellent balance - has some oomph.
