A sour ale brewed with unmalted wheat & Canadian raspberries. Aged in a Flat Rock pinot noir barrel for one year with wild yeast, the finished beer balances barrel flavours with the funk from the Brettanomyces & Lactobacillus.

330mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a clear reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out shitloads of raspberries, followed by various wild yeasts. Flavour is similar, bringing out much more wild yeast than the nose suggests, giving it lots of funk, along with potent raspberries. The funk slightly outdoes the berries, but this is very fruity. Carbonation is very lively, without detracting in any way. Great stuff.

Nice balance between the elements here for a well-rounded sour. Aroma of raspberry, light bretta and some citrus. The pinot wine is subtle and well-placed here. Pours maroon with good head and lacing. Soft carbonation. Bottle from lcbo that I sat on for a few months.

12 oz bottle courtesy of trade with Sammy. Thanks. Bottle was a gusher. Pours a hazy amber-brown color with a small off-white head that soon recedes to a film. The aroma is overtly funky with sour raspberries, vinaigrette and red wine. The taste is dominated sour raspberries and raspberry seeds, and its nicely balanced and accented by a fruity wheat base. The palate is full and smooth. Finishes long and tart. Overall: Very tasty sour ale, oodles of big bold sour fruit flavors. Loved it.

Bottle from the. Rewery. Swampy, amber pour with a redish hue, and a very quickly dissipating off white head. A very funky, sour aroma. Lots of raspberries, and raspberry juice. Some slight barnyard aromas, and random berries. Quite tart, slight woody flavor, with some decent acidic notes. The funk is very pleasant, and up front. This is a veryice sour ale. I need more.

Bottle, red brown pour, light white carbonation. Aroma - tart cherries, vinious, acidic. Taste - light sour, carbonated mouth feel, slight sweetness, a very mellow sour without a great deal complexity but lots of drinkability. Nicely done!

Red to light brown in colour and shows a bit cloudy. The aroma on this jumps out with sour notes and raspberries and some oak notes as well. As it opens up it is more apparently oaked. On the palate it is soured and raspberry pie like with a good flavour development but made in a more balanced style. Very tasty indeed.

Pours a deep pink with a light pink head. Aroma is quite tart with vinegar and raspberries - pinot barrels really show through. Tart berries through the body and finish showing some lambic like qualities. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pinkish red-orange pour with thin ring of white foam. Aroma is quite fruity, tons and tons of raspberries, really nice funk, light citric acid, light winey notes. Taste is quite sour, light fruity sweetness, quite dry, herbal finish, very refreshing. Nice tart beer, not super sour, quite docile and enjoyable.

Tasted a small sample at a BeerThief gathering. Beer was a very nice (berry nice!) pink with a little head. Aroma is not as goaty/funky as the Oud Beersel that we just tried. Itís a little lambicy, but with those raspberry tones. Taste is a little bit empty for me though. Itís sour but short-lived. A little boring was the consensus (sorry!)
