Well, I’m biased against fruit beers, but I suppose it’s a good imitation of a Belgian lambic style, with some typical "cream ale" trappings. Comes in a cool white stone bottle, but I assume that knocks the price up a bit ... anyway, it’s not too sweet, has an impressively bright red colour and you can really taste the freshness of the raspberries. Has a yeasty underlying flavour that detracts from the sourness. Not bad though.

Sep 23, 2008 Draught @ Only. Deep garnet, close to being opaque, little tan head, some lacing. Fresh raspberry and soda-like aromas but not too sweet. Thin, light mouthfeel. Finishes slightly tart and dry. Refreshin bevvie. Not complex but also thankfully, not too sweet.

I tried this beer on August 1, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a deep semi-translucent red with a thick pink head. The aroma was raspberry with a malt hint. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, and highly carbonated. The flavour was sour raspberry, and a little grainy malt.

May 6, 2008 Too thin and tart for me. Certainly the essence of framboise is here, but it doesn’t save this bummer of a fruit beer (a style I normally enjoy). No cloudiness.

Jan 23, 2008 Rich cherry in colour, thin off-white coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is very sweet, lots of raspberries, quite jam like. The flavour is again very sweet, incredible amounts of raspberries, syrup, jam, some tartness. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a long a strong raspberry sweetness. This is very sweet throughout, becoming too much at times.

Dec 15, 2007 Bottle received from Matt7215 in trade. I’m not sure if it is due to the shipping, but this beer was almost over-carbonated and had a very large head, which settled soon after pouring. Dark red/orange/brown with a pink head, I was expecting something more red in color. Aroma is not quite accurate for the taste. This beer is bitter and almost sour, yet the smell is sweet, honey and raspberry tones. The beer is quite tart and unfortunately I was expecting something sweeter. For the style, it is good, but not something I would suggest to drink on its own. Sweet food (like chocolate) would bring out the sweetness in this beer.
