3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A golden amber ale with a thin creamy mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with loads of pungent floral and resinous hops, with meaty and catty notes and faint sulfur. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with oily mouth feel, resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, classic. On tap at Arrow and Loon.

Tap at the Brewery Market. Deep amber pour with a tight off-white head. The aroma is great. Loaded with juicy citrusy hops and an almost tropical component as well. The malt base has a lovely softness but manages to remain dry. No apparent crystal malt but isnít all pale malt in the base. Moderate bitterness that balances the malt well. This was the first keg to kick and itís not hard to see why. Delicious.

Hoppy but astringent. On tap at new Amsterdam brewpub. I can see that this is the base beer to coffee, etc. Slightly orange body with head.

Draught at Volo, March 5. Pours a bubbly deep orange-copper with an average size lasting frothy white head. Aroma of Citra hops, fruity and citrusy, along with pale malt -- simple but nice. Flavour follows the aroma, citrusy and fruity hops along with pale malt and just a touch of grain. Average bitter finish. Average bodied. A simple but pleasant, easy to drink Pale Ale.

[4339-20120318] Tap. Woody citrus peat aroma has a bit of toasted evergreen. Slightly hazy, amber brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter peaty citrus wood continues in the flavour with a hint of cat pee. Medium-full body. Tasty and bitter, just a touch too much pee-like notes but quite good. (7/3/7/4/15) 3.6

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Brewpub.
Gorgeous aroma of grapefruit, lemons, and just any citrus you can think of. Not much malt to speak of, just enough to balance the hops, and make them not too over powering. The hops are huge, and incredibly drinkable. This beer has an incredible drinkability, but also a huge dose of great cirtus hops. loved it.
