2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Clear gold, low cream head. Sweet caramel aroma, malts, honey, rough winey, hint of toffee. Metallic as it warms. Rich alcohol in mouth, sweet honey/caramel with a strange bitter ending, as some burn caramel mixed with licorice. Quite unbalanced...

Just as bad as the Navigator, but even a little more unpleasant due to the high alcohol, which is present.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Another can brought back from the South of France in Sep 13: this 500ml monster was cracked open on 2 Dec 13, well before it’s expiry date.
Poured (twice) into a La Chouffe tulip at home.
Bright, light golden/amber with a deep head on each pour, the heads tried to hang around for a while too.
A hangover in a single can: smells grainy, tinny and alcoholic, tastes grainy, tinny and alcoholic, palate wise I thought it, grainy, tinny and alcoholic, overall it was grainy, tinny and alcoholic.
It actually got a little better as it warmed and my second glass was almost pleasant, well almost.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2013 Bière très forte, avec un gout d’alcool et de métal, sucre et mauvais malt. Vraiment pas ce qu’on attend d’une bière.

Can @ home. Pours with a clear golden colour, frothy short lasting off-white head. Aroma is moderately malty and incredibly alcoholic, quite unpleasant. taste is moderately sweet, a bit bitter. Medium body, very overcarbonated. Very bad beer, couldn’t even finish the can.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Deep golden color. Aroma of akcohol, dark malt and sugar. Flavor of sweet grass and alcohol. Hardly a pilsner. Just a bad $11 dollar in Singapore version of $1 hurricane or steel reserve in America.

My, that’s some alcohol burn you got there....very malty lager with lots of heat. Looks good though, with nice thick creamy head. But then again you’re not drinking this for taste, you want a buzz...and you’ll get it.
