2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500 mL bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear golden with a minute white head.
Aroma: Surprising caramel/toffee, some bread/dough, non-deScript fruitiness, a bit of diacetyl(?).
Palate: Medium body and medium-soft carbonation.
Flav.: Bread, cardboard, none of the malty or fruity notes from the nose; nothing much on the finish, a bit of mineral.
Like so many blondes, this one is attractive until you get to know it.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A golden lager with a bit of a good frothy head. This is a lager, not an ale, and has a smooth, crisp lager taste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I tried this beer on October 28, 2007 after purchasing from my local LCBO outlet. The bottle poured a very nice translucent gold into the glass witrh a very loose frothy head thad disappeared quickly. The aroma is mildly hoppish with citrus tones. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with mild carbonation. The taste is a combination of citrus tones, hops, and a little grass.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2008 Keg, woo! A light golden colour with a thick white head. Citric, malty aroma, pleasant smell for a lager. Sweet corn like taste with a hint of malt. Mildly bitter finish, though pretty light overall. Kind of disappointing for a micro, but not bad in my opinion. Re-rate: I tried this in a bottle for the first time, may have been a little kinder cause it was in a keg the first time, but this is pretty bland, while some light flavour accents prevent it from full blown sucking.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle. pale blonde colour, thick white head. Lightly fruity with a hint of lemony citrus. A bit of berryish aroma as it warms up over the pale malt base. Fairly fruity aroma, but very light on flavour. Good body, low bitterness, and some citrus and berry flavour.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500 mL bottle. Orange-gold with no head. The aroma is very malty, with a sharpish citric tang to it. The flavour is very pedestrian, for a micro. It is mild and malty (corn) sweet, with no discernable bitterness. Light body, heavy carbonation. Drinkable. I suppose it probably serves a purpose. Just not right now.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
This lager poured a golden yellow colour with a bright white head. To the nose there are scents of corn, gravy, sweet malts and lemon soap. Humph? First sip was slightly overcarbonated but still drinkable. Typical corn and malt flavour. Sweet finish with nothing but oily sweetness for a palate. Kind of boring...

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500mL bottle: Golden yellow corn body is slightly carbonated with little to no head. Aroma of stale corn and slight hops. Crisp light flavor, as lager should be. Malt flavor is ever present but not truly satisfying. There is a definite corn presence and a sweet tartness that doesn’t quite work out well. Smooth finish. This beer doesn’t cry out "Drink Me". It deserves a passing grade, no more. Seeing as it is a blonde Lager, in form, it deserves to be noted that it achieves its namesake and deserves high praise. To my personal liking however... Not my style.
