2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Soapy, thin mouth feel a la typical Amsterdam. Another mediocre lager. Complements of Bow & Arrow anniversary night. Yellow colour. Some hops and bitterness.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear gold color with a big bubbled head. Aroma was mostly both corn & dough. Taste was typical lager, with an initial musty taste followed by more corn. Taste felt tinny and acidic. Not bad flavor minus the oxidation.

Is "unbad" a rating term? Unmemorable, inoffensive and smooth. A true "lawnmower" beer, or in this case a "tailgater" on a hot day in Buffalo.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not really all that terrible. Amsterdam seems to make consistantly good beers... even the pales. It’s a bit bland and smooth to the point of water, but still an uncarbonated mild success.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours golden yellow with big fluffy white head. Off putting aroma, carries over to the taste. Very little taste to speak of, I can see how some might find this thirst quenching and crisp – I found it bland and unnecessary – a step up from the light version though.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Very light gold colour. Slight skunk in the aroma along with faint floral hops. The flavour seemed really unbalanced and one-dimensional. Very sweet. Finishes bland with just a slight bitterness.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Terribly bland looking and smelling and tasting....nothing overly offensive but nothing overly exciting either. Sweetly refreshing enough lawnmower beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not a great-looking beer, which is additionally off-putting due to the marketing wizards at Amsterdam bottling in clear glass. The two-dimensional sweet/grainy aroma is well fleshed out, with sweet represented by hits of confectionery sugar and honey, and the grain showcased with offerings of cereal and boiled white rice. The watery palate lacks texture, but the flavours are well balanced, continuing where the nose left off, plus some hop-bitterness and a woody aftertaste. Fairly good length for a light-coloured lager. In the world of beer, a blond sure isn’t eye-candy, but she can still be pretty hot once you get her out of her clothes.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2013 2013-02-28. Crisp dark yellow, nice white head. 3+ aroma of sweet pale malt has a lightly yeasty quality to it, mild fruity floral accents. Flavour is fairly sweet overall, pale malt, lightly fruity doughy yeasty character. 6+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. 3+ less yeasty than I recall. A little crisper and cleaner overall. Bit sweeter than my preference but decent. 6/3/6/3/13+ On tap at the Red Lantern, Toronto
2003-XX-XX. Crystal clear yellow, big fluffy head disappeared quickly. Some nice florally hops in the aroma, nice bitterness. A nice thirst quencher. 5/2/5/3/10

Goes down easy. A bit on the light side but might be good on a hot day. Somewhat unremarkable.
