Natural Blonde is a creamy gold lager with noticable malt flavor and a hint of hop nose.

473 mL can. Pours golden with a lacy white head. A little straw and apple on the nose. Light bodied and refreshing with high carbonation. Dry with a lightly hopped finish. Boring but good for killing thirst.

500ml can. A light golden colour with a thick white head. Citric, malty aroma, pleasant smell for a lager. Sweet corn like taste with a hint of malt. Mildly bitter finish, though pretty light overall. Kind of disappointing for a micro, but not bad in my opinion. Re-rate: I tried this in a bottle for the first time, may have been a little kinder cause it was in a keg the first time, but this is pretty bland, while some light flavour accents prevent it from full blown sucking.

Looks like a typical looking lager Gold not blonde I say. Some head that laced a while and laces. small carbination bubbles at times and some on glass. Smell is light sweet warm appleish smell. Taste is water, warmthish and like some light sweetness that seems like apple in the taste. There is worse and better lagers out there. This one might even have some hops. cheer’s!

473ml can. Hum drum beer. No aroma to speak of - some cider maybe. Head disappears mid-pour! No joke! Not even a lace. Pale yellow (Lovibond 4) is uninspiring. First swig is the best. Sweetness, some bitter roundness and a nice creamy buttery taste - only detected on the first swig. Weird. Medium carbonation, okay palate - somewhat greasy mouthfeel.

Yeah it’s nice to have a bit of bite in a pale lager, however small it is. It’s made for people who are looking for something better than Canadian but aren’t yet beer-curious (ahem). I respect this beer for what it is. (Wow, my TENTH RATING! To the moon...)

Originally rated May 2005. Poured a light yellow colour with not bad retention. There was big bubble carbonation at the bottom of the glass. The nose was of metallic scents with mild malt. The mouthfeel was flat and smooth. Tasted mostly corn with very slight bitterness. Refreshingly clean, but a clear dissapointment.

Yellow carbonated body, no head. Soft aroma of orange peels and hops, but not in a good way. Flavour is well-balanced malts with dry hops and a dry finish, this beer’s saving grace. But even after that, it does not excel beyond the middle of the pack.

In can at Great Wolfe Lodge (!??!?). In a sea of crap, was surprised to find this can poolside at GWL. Not a lot of redeeming values, but at least some depth of flavour, and a tiny bit of bite.

[on tap as Embassy Blond at the Irish Embassy, Toronto, Ontario, Canada] Slight hay aroma with some grain and sour ethanol. Clear gold under white wisps and a ring. Almost crisp malt flavour with some faint hay. Ethanolic notes with a subtle bitterness and some onions. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.
