Draught @ The Brewery: Chalk a higher score up to lower expectations. I wasn’t a fan of the blonde so I wasn’t expecting much from a lighter version of it. The head stuck around longer this time, with a very pale yellow colour on the pour. Flavour was more subtle, and thus to me, more enjoyable. A touch more sweetness, which offered more going on than the blonde. I feel the same way here as I do in the Corona vs Corona Light battle - go with the light, it offers less to be disappointed about.

Bottle (341ml). Poured bright pale slightly bubbly gold with a minimal white head. Not surprisingly, smells just like the "Natural Blonde" only lighter - corn, dry grain, a little harsh. Taste is probably nicer than the blonde - similar, sweeter, but less harsh - very watery mouthfeel, still has that unpleasant aftertaste - acceptable lawnmower/fishing trip beer only.

. Fizzy initial pour. Their regular blond may be better, but the taste is OK for a 4% beer. Thin mouthfeel, some hops and a bit of malt. I would have this before a Molson or Labatt, but it is pretty plain. Thanks for the sample Pootz/Pootzboy.

Much like the non-light version, except thinner. Even more pale in colour and bland in taste. A step up from a macro light, but nothing else.
