3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle. Russia-brewed 7% version. Pours transparent gold with a small white head. Bready and slightly boozy aroma. Unlike a lot of strong beers it isn't overpoweringly sweet. Very smooth, just don't let it heat up too much.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Rating from old notes, tasted many years ago. This was a typical cheap Euro strong lager with golden blonde colour, cristal clear with a thin, snow white head; very obnoxious corn presence in the aroma, chemical (burning rubber), sugary onset, industrial caramel, metallic, practically no hops discernible, finish dominated by chemical off-flavours and a wry alcohol presence. Petrol for alcoholics, as usual in this style.

Can from a market in Ankara, one of the best strong lager in Turkey. Has much alcohol and nice malt aroma, it’s for men not boys.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can, Efes Turkey. Golden color with white head. Carbonation is not bad and also it keeps the foam till the end. But it’s an ordinary beer I think. It has nothing special. If you like strong lagers you can like it.

Can, 500mL. Home. A clear golden beer with few bubbles. Medium white head with a medium retention. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits and prune. Medium to heavy sweet. Medium body, thin oily texture, soft carbonation, short sweet finish. Overall, pleasant aroma but poorly heavy. Average.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 500ml can poured in a chalice.
A: Pours a clear golden yellow to orange color with a big white fluffy head. Medium retention and some lacings left
S: A lot of sugar in the nose followed by the caramel malts, some hops and alcohol
T: Too sweet and extremelly syrupy. Some sweet malts but, the sweetness is quite extreme and jeopardizes the taste. End is quite bitter as an unique positive point
M: Heavy and molasses with a reasonable carbonation, a quite bitter aftertaste and a high ABV
D: Low. Again, too sweet and molasses

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Blonde dorée. Mousse blanche moyennement persistante.
Arôme malté, sans plus.
En bouche affreux, on ne sent presque que l’alcool. On dirait un médicament ou un bain de bouche. Désastreuse bière

Can from Carrefour, Nice. Golden with no head. Quite strong but has a more settled lager aftertaste. Not great stuff though.
