On tap at C’est What Fall Festival. Pours a hazy straw colour with big fluffy white head. Nose has spice, banana and light orange. Flavour is fairly spicy and grassy with subtle banana and citrus notes. Not much in the way of a finish. Decent.

Draught at C’est What’s ’Fall Festival of Craft Breweries’. Listed as ’Oranje Weiss’ Pours a cloudy yellow with a small creamy white head -- looks nice. Aroma is grainy and wheaty along with some mild citrus fruit and banana. Flavour of grain, wheat and slightly sour citrus. Light to average bodied. One of the better Amsterdam beers but just an O.K. beer overall.

Draught. At 2009 C’est What Fall festival. Murky pale lemon yellow with a large creamy lasting white head. Spicy/grassy lemon and banana aroma - the flavour seems a little unfocussed, less fruit and more grassy character .... light-bodied, soft mouthfeel, mildly carbonated and quite quick-finishing - it left no real impression, but decent enough.

On-tap at C’est What. Lacey after a good head poured. Aroma of both the wheat and the orange peal. Found it somewhat acidity, like an orange juice can be. Thinner than expected, drying finish, but overall a fine wheat beer.

Appearance: hazy plain inside of this foggy ale , mid plus white top with good lace. 3+
Nose: Soft well presented wheat character , banana , wheat . Slight tartness with spice (black pepper). 7+
Flavor/Palate : mild drinkable wheat, fairly soft and light. Well composed wheat ale that is one of better samples here in Ontario.

Bottle from Brewery: Cloudy yellow beer with thin fizzy head. Smells like orange peel and wheat. Taste is citrus, wheat, and bread with a strange finish--strange lingering aftertaste. Watery. Unimpressive.

[2321-20090719] Clear bottle. Orange skunky grains aroma. Hazy, pale yellow white body with a quick foamy white head. Strong orange grains flavour has more skunky wheaty water. Medium body. Fresh bottle from the brewery but it has some unpleasantly odd sediment in the bottom of the bottle.

2009-07-19. Hazy pale pastel yellow with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty with modest hops, floral and grassy, bit of an odd funky/skunky character to it at first. Flavour has an odd biterrness to it. Yeasty with a bit of spice character it hints and pepper and anise, which comes off as an odd combination at times. Not unpleasant, but the flavour combinations are a bit jarring at times. Average palate lacks the fullness of a wit, but the sludge at the bottom of the bottle likely would have added weight had we not been fearful of it. Okay. We have some more bottles so perhaps I will try it again after resuspending the sediments to see if it improves. As it is, it feels less fresh than I would have expected for a beer consumed within a week of purchase straight from the brewery. Interesting but disappointing - I had high hopes for this one as a number of people had mentioned it was rather good. Bottle from the brewery.
