Mediocre review. Wasn’t bad, just not my style. I’ve yet to find a "fruit beer" that blends the fruit flavour with the wheat beer properly. Nice texture, decent aroma.

Pours a dark amber with a medium foamy off white head - nice lacing. Aroma is syrupy pomegranate and nectarines. Flavor is fruity pomegrenate and apricot with some sweet malts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

Originally rated November 2008. Purchased at the LCBO, and this one is a new addition to the Amsterdam Brewery. Pours a mild hazy golden-orange-copper colour with an slight off-white head that is creamy and bubbly. The retention is great, and so is the lacing all around. Has a nice soft pomegranate scent to it, with light malt grain. Lots of carbonation of bigger bubbles around the glass at first, but then, nice consistent smaller bubbles slowly coming up from the bottom of the glass. I am surprised after tasting it, that this one is on the watery side. Really missing the boat on the taste. Kind of soapy, with hardly any aftertaste. Must have more fruit and more wheat to it. Wish they would not filter this one so much.

Bottle purchased at Amsterdam brewery. Pours a clear gold colour, lots of bubbles/ carbonation. No real head or lacing. Aroma is grainy and a little sweet. Taste is like cereal and a little berry like. Not really that great of a brew.

Golden coloured body with a light white head. Aroma of a touch of fruit, some funk, a little malt and not much else - a bit off indeed. Medium to Light-bodied; Pungent pomegranate and cherry flavours with a little icing sugar sweetness, some light malt and a bit of wheat characteristics. Aftertaste shows some light fruit beer tastes, but mostly a bit of wheat and some off tastes throughout. Overall, an okay beer to try since i’ve never seen it back in the states, but i’m okay with it being that way, because I’d never recommend it to anyone. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from the LCBO in North Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 11-October-2009.

Who knows how this ended up in the back of the "on tap" fridge but it was there. Deciding to take a chance my reward/punishment was a dreadful fruit beer that was almost not even worth the $2.00 sticker price on the side. For the sake of people living in Ontario it would be nice for this brewery to either ramp up their game or close down. Experiments like this only sully a region’s reputation.

Aroma / Appearance - Weak and flimsy the head folded like wet cardboard into the bronze golden body. Imagine another other pale ale and you get the general picture of what this one looked like. The nose smelled as if an ounce or two of pomegranate had made its way into the bottle as well. It is certainly a one trick pony and not in a good way.

Flavor / Palate - Sour but less fruity than I expected it was more like a wheat beer spiked with juice. Mercifully it fades fast with little to no finish. Bland, dull, and forgettable this is the antithesis of what a well made fruit beer can be. Even if it happens to be on sale at the LCBO save your money for something better like Dennison’s Weissbier.

(Rating #2810)

This really isn’t a terrible beer. I probably should be a little higher. Pours a clear golden colour with thin white head. Aroma is fruity, pomegranate and wheat. Taste is mostly fruity although there is a distinctive wheat beer characteristics. This beer really isn’t overly impressive but it’s very drinkable and probably would go well on patio.

Clear dark gold/orange with a medium foamy off white head showing good retention and a nice lacing. Aroma is artificial pomegranate and peaches with a bit of soap and some wheat. Flavor is artificial pomegrenate and apricot with some malt and wheat. Very thin.
