BOTTLE 50CL from bunget. Pitch black, espresso head. Strong coffee and chocolate in the nose, roasty, a touch of alcohol. Tastes roasty, coffee, acrid black malts, zesty spicy bitterness and some ashes. Correct and classic.

Pour is motor oil with a thin espresso cap that hangs around and leaves some nice lacing. Nose is chocolate/molasses/toast/coffee - nice and promising. Taste is....a bit of a let down. There seems to be a watery patch in the middle, despite the 9% ABV and full-ish body. Texture is slick/creamy, with nice lingering bitterness on the finish. Tasty, but lacking a certain punch for my liking.

500ml bottle into tulip. Minneapolis. Pours dark dark brown with small rim of tan head. Aroma is a little unsettling. Grain alcohol is most present. Licorice, chocolate, and vanilla notes in the background. Really not great. Taste is mostly bitter. There is a sharp bite with a strong alcohol finish. Body is medium-full. Sharp carbonation. Long alcohol finish. This beer was a huge disappointment. I won’t be finishing this.

Bottle at the Ultimate Imperial Stout Tasting, shared by the ever cool dennoman. Lots of coffee in this one, but all in all lacking a bit of thickness and body.

Smell of coffee, chocolate. Black colour, mid-brown head. Ashy palate. Aroma of burnt malt, ash, some oak. Also cocoa. Finishes with chocolate and coffee. Roasty bitter. Soft but rather plentiful carbon. Palate is part oily, part velvety.
