3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark chocolate, a hint of coffee, some bitterness to the finish, decent imperial stout, albeit a touch thin, flavor is solid enough.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle, thanks to b3shine for sharing. Very dark brown, near-black color. Thin tan head, leaving good bits of lace. Awesome coffee, moderate roast malt. Smoke. Earthy hop. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Light dry finish. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, moderate sweet. Just a touch ashy, but I don’t mind. Just slightly biting in the finish. Enjoyable imperial stout to try. I dig the smoke.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to snifter (shared with the Cinci crew; thanks DuffMan). This vintage is 9%. Looks good; a lightly translucent brownish cola with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, chocolate, and a bit of roast and what seems like oak (even though there isn’t any mention of a barrel). Tastes like it smells with a bit of bitterness and a medium full-bodied mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 2014, 9%. Pours in black body with medium froasty tan head which is gone within a minute or two. Aroma has a gentle roastiness, little bit of dark chocolate, along with some pretty light acidity on the nose. Taste has high earthy acidic bitterness right upfront but gets balanced by a high roasty sweetness, coffee, dark chocolate. Long bitterness in the after taste. Body is pretty dry, heavy, medium-high carbonation. Alcohol is a little bit too warming for my taste.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle from LCBO Hawkesbury (Ontario) on November 28, 2014 (9% version). Black, small beige head. Fruity coffee aroma, not to strong. Spicy moka coffee taste, but somewhat dry, nice bitter coffee aftertaste. Not a tempest in your mouth, but at less not an over the top monster now a days!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle from the LCBO.
Appearance: Pours a
dark black with a bit of tan head, shorter retention and lots of lacing.
Chocolate, coffee, dark malt, smoke.
Coco, dark malt, cola, black coffee
Thinner with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A nice imperial stout. Not as good as some of the other options on the market like Bolsevik Bastard but still petty decent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle - 500ml (2014). Pours an opaque black body with an average, fading, beige foamy head. Rich malty aroma with vineous and chocolate hints. Alcohol is not agressive. Its robust malty/hoppy aroma carries roasty, licorice, woody, and plummy notes. Ends with a long, strong, warming, bitter/roasty finish. Very well done.
