Pours a nearly opaque dark brown with a little bit of white head. Smell is roasted malt and caramel. Palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied and has a good amount of carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet at first, then gets a bit of a bitter kick that is matched with the sweetness, and has a long lasting and not overly sweet aftertaste. Nicely done!

Bomber bottle from 2014. This stuff has aged nicely. Lots of dark fruity and roasty goodness. Surprising but pleasant hints of chocolate, along with caramel and tobacco and toasted grain. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Alcohol is surprisingly concealed. Texture is a bit thin surprisingly. Overall still solid. Nice winter sipper ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark brown color with small brownish head. Boozy stale beer aroma. The flavor is also quite stale, too much alcohol, and the body thin; I feel like I’m drinking industrial beer, not bad though.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out English malts, some dark fruits and dusty earthy notes. Flavour brings out bready malts and dark fruits, but it’s pretty laid back. Not a very cohesive beer, but it’s pleasant and inoffensive. Okay.

Cherry colored with a clingy tan foam. Nice character with flavors of vanilla, dates, and figs. Not fruity but sugary with a touch of molasses.

Bottle given to me by my step brother. Pours like a wine, reddish brown, finger of of white head, clingy sticky lacing. Nose is sweet caramel, wine like, tastes sweet, sugary, a touch bitter, raisin, a little biscuit, malt, burnt caramel. Nice complexity, would likely see some sort of barrelled version.

650ml bottle into tulip. Minneapolis. Pours very dark amber with ruby tint. Zero head. Aroma has some sweet element to it- molasses and caramel. It’s also earthy and nutty. Some leather notes. Dark fruits. Taste mild sweetness dominates. Subtle bitterness to balance. Body is medium-full. Very soft carbonation. Smooth texture. Longer finish. Fairly decent old ale, but lacks some if the complexity I was hoping for. Body was a little on the weak side.

En fût au brewhouse. Brune. Ronde. Entré sucré. Caramel. Légèrement saline. Un peu épicé. Belle amertume. Finale légèrement boisé. Bien.
