Monday post IPA challenge. Big bitterness, which impeded drinkability. I was told the other LK was better, still a decent cask. Light golden colour.

A hazed amber ale with a thin big bubbled white head. In aroma, a strange pungent hops with catnip and wild grass, with caramel malt and sulfur. In mouth, a nice smooth grassy hops biscuit malt with floral hops, citrus pulp, a bit of funk. Cask at Ontario Cask IPA Challenge, April 21, 2012.

On cask at Volo (Monday post IPA Challenge). Pours a slightly cloudy brownish orange with modest-sized off-white head. Aroma is bold citrusy/piney hops with a solid malt backbone. Flavour has lots of juicy grapefruit, some pine and caramel. Pretty big bitterness. Medium bodied. Nice.

[4389-20120421] Cask. Brussels sprouts aroma is mostly graininess. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with a long-lasting quite bubbly off-white head. Bitter lemon-spruce hops flavour. Medium body. Great bitter bite with an interesting and tasty hop profile. (7/4/8/4/17) 4.0

2012-04-21. Dark orange amber body witha small frothy off-white head. 3+ Interesting aroma, citrus with a twang/funk, grapefruit, pink grapefruit, pithy citrus. 7+ Flavour is similar, modest bitter citrus hops, sort of a tangy character, really interesting character to the hops. 7+ Smooth average bodied palate, light carbonation. 3+ One I would like to revisit and explore more fully. Blind Tasting on Cask at Volo IPA Challenge
