On tap at Amundsen Black color, good foam. Roasted aromas, smoke, some licorice and malt. Medium body & complexity . Some bitterness, well balanced. Enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft from the last keg @Grünerløkka Brygghus Mathallen, Oslo. A finger of creamy latte head, atop an opaque dark brown colored body. Dry aroma of burnt ashy dark malts. Some dark dried fruits is noticable. Taste is burnt dark malts, leaving a prominent malt bitterness. Subdued smoke tones, some cocoa, and a little residual sugars in the back. Medium full. Soft mouthfeel. Burnt ashy malty-bitter ending. [17.01.13]

On tap at Grünerløkka brygghus. Black with a beige head. Roasted and lightly smoky aroma with spices, dark chocolate and hops. Medium sweet with a fairly dry and bitter finish. Well balanced. Smoke well integrated and almost in the background. Some notes of dark fruits also. Nice beer for a dark and cold winter evening in Oslo.

250ml tap at Grünerløkka Brygghus, bar at Mathallen Oslo. Fawn-coloured head leaving great lacing rings down the glass. Jet black body with a deep ruby tint. Smoked aroma with spices. Interesting spiced taste of cumin and lighter notes of pepper on a backbone of smoky malts and anise. Bitter dried fruity ending. Medium bodied. Unusual and likable (Oslo, 11.12.2012).

21.11.2012. On tap at Grünerløkka brygghus, Oslo. Dark brown colour with tan head. Aroma of dark malts. Flavours of dry bitter chocolate and coffee. Smoked aroma. Its rather dry with very nice soft smoked aftertaste. Good beer.

Very dark brown. Lovely smoke and campfire aroma. Lots of sweet malt, the smoke plays well along with this. A little chocolate, too.
