Black with a brown head - Nice hop aroma - Some hints of raosted malt body with a good hop profile that is bitter, and then some dryness from hops and roasted malt - The finish has hop bitterness that goes into a long and dry finish - This was nice

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 24.01.15. Very dark brown, almost black. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma of American hops, grapefruit, pine and cigar box. Similar taste, with evident dark malt. Bitter grapefruit in aftertaste. A decent example of the style.

On tap @ Amundsen. Pitch black body with a medium sized, dense, stable beige head. Nice aroma of dark malt, pine and citric fruit. Flavor medium strong dark malt, moderate roasted, lots of pine, some citric fruit, balanced bitterness and a bit tart towards the end. Medium body, quite balanced and pleasant bitter aftertaste. Quite good and tasty.
