COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with loads of Simcoe and Chinook. Blackbird: er mørk og mystisk. En svart IPA med såpesialmalt som gir ølet dets nesten svart farge. Smak og aroma er inspirert av en IPA. Avrundet med humle som gir furu og sitrustoner, samt god og framtredende bitterhet.

Bottle. An enormous fountain of black-brown froth - which prevents the emission of a lot of aromas. But all is revealed when one actually tastes the stuff: an accomplished hybrid of porter and bipa. Excellent stuff!

Bottle at home. Pours a deep red brown to black color with a huge, light brown, compact head. Fruity and roasted aroma with tones of pine, flowers, peaches, chocolate, dried fruits, burned wood and nuts. The flavor is pretty roasted with more ash and roasted bred. The fruity hops are in the background as well with pine, grapefruit and grass and accelerates in the aftertaste. Has a silky mouth feel, medium body and a balanced bitterness. A well made BIPA where both the hops and roasted malt er equally represented. Well-balanced all the way.

On tap at Ølhallen, pours black with a large brown head. Nose brings out lots of earthy hops, balanced by lightly roasted malt and chalk. Flavour is earthy and chalky, with lots of earthy hops, powdery dry cocoa, chalk and lightly roasted bready malt. Decently balanced and nice to sip in small amounts, but nothing overly great. Not bad.

Fra kran på Ølhallen 11 Apr 15. Svart. Filmskum. Tynn lacing. God, litt fruktig aroma. Smaken har antydning til lakris. Svakt syrlig tørr ettersmak.

Black with a brown head - Nice hop aroma - Some hints of raosted malt body with a good hop profile that is bitter, and then some dryness from hops and roasted malt - The finish has hop bitterness that goes into a long and dry finish - This was nice
