On tap at the brewpub. Pours deep clear amber with a small good looking beige head.Aroma of ripe red fruits, cherries and nutty malts. Taste is smooth, almost velvetly moderate sweet malts, dries up at the end, a good brew, more fruity than the ordinary christmas beer.

Aroma of malt and dried berries, spices. Spicy taste too, with caramel, fruits and a good dry ending

On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber with a light brown head. Sweet and malty with mild (Christmas) spices. Slightly bitter finish.

250ml, tap at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. Red-brown body, small beige head. Malts to the nose with notes of ginger. Spiced malty taste, lightly roasted and with notes of star anise and lozenge. On the sweet side of bittersweet to the finish. A bit thin on the swallow. Average level of Yuletide in this one (Oslo, 12.12.2011).

Fra kran på bryggeripuben 31 Okt 11. Dyp brun. Pent kremaktig skum med litt farge. God, men litt svak krydderaroma. Ingefær. Smaken er kun krydder. Kjedelig.

23.11.2011. On tap at Amundsen Bryggeri og Spiseri. Dark brown colour with off-white head. Malty aroma with sweet soft malty flavours. Low bitterness. A little watery mouthfeel leaves a sense of thin body. There is more bitterness at the end. Fairly good Vienna.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark rusty brown colour. Malty and mildly spiced aroma, fairly dry. Good balance. Medium body, very drinkable.

Taster @Amundesen. Near-clear dark brown with an orangey shade. Firm off-white head. Candied red fruits, toasted malts and gingerbread to the nose. Medium malt body, generously spiced with a refined sweetness. Smooth in the mouth. Dries up towards a spiced, malty and light fruity finish. Very enjoyable.

Vinous aroma.
Cherries, malt, balanced by a strict dryness that does not let the sweetness get out of control.
A fruity twist on the Norwegian seasonal staple.
