3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 16, 2012
On tap at Amundsen. A dense , finger thick beige head sits on top of a clear copper colored body. The aroma hasa solid dose of coriander, with some caramel maltyness. Smooth, but a bit thin on the palate, some warmth. Coriander, lime, maltyness and some caramel in the flavor. Decent bitterness in the finish. Well, quite decent, but a bit bland compared to the original. 111014
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Cunningham (1940) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 5, 2012
Hazy brown colour with an off white head. Sweet nose. Hard to make up my mind about this. We agreed that it tasted bubblegum and alcohol. Light fruity and some caramelmalt. [On tap at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri in Oslo, Norway - 04 april 2012]

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beer3000 (3094) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 4, 2012
On tap @ Amundsen 2011.11.14 Dark reddish amber body with a small tan head and big bubbles. Aroma of wheat, spices, soap and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, fruity, bitter and alcohol. There is definitively a lot of things going on here, not so easy to define. It’s an interesting beer, less fruity and coriander than the previous Nøgne Ø version. That version tasted a lot more balanced after about one year’s storage. We will probably never know what some storage might do to this version.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RuneStumo (1458) - FØRRESFJORDEN, NORWAY - NOV 29, 2011
amundsen/Nøgne Ø Imperial dunkel wit. On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown offwhite head. lots of malt sweetness. strong with rather rich body. Wheaty. Notes of lemon and coriander. Very good and powerful wit!
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ClubGonzo (1943) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2011
On tap @ Amundsen Bryggeri og Spiseri, Oslo. Dark, red-amber body, small white head. Weird wheaty, nougat-like sweet caramel tones with hints of herbs, black berries and hints of butterscotch. Taste is near-smokey malty tones with spicy herbal notes, wheat and black currants. Drinkable and original, but like its predecessor (made exclusively by Nøgne Ø) this is a beer that is going in too many directions, ending up nowhere.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Gr0ve (1875) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 19, 2011
500 ml draught at Amundsen. Hazy
brown. Medium-sized light beige head. Spicy peppery nose with hints of
coriander. Some banana as well. Yeasty notes. I think this beer would
do good with some more lagering. Bready malty flavours. Dark caramel
and black pepper. There is clearly a bit of coriander in here, but
more would not hurt.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2011
On tap @ Amundsen, Oslo. Pours a clear deep deep red body with a great looking creamy and lasting beige head lacing down the glass. Aroma is really fruity, fruit-yeasty like almost all the beers I’ve had from Amundsen. Notes of dried fruits, strawberries, bubblegum and sweet banana. Average carbonation, quite full-bodied and it has a thick, creamy and chewy mouthfeel - just the way I like it. Flavors are really smooth, quite fruity - like in dried fruits - and lightly sweet. The heat from the alcohol is burning quite clearly at first, but the after a while it’s just calming and warming. Not bad!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 KnutAlbert (4587) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2011
Coca cola color, creamy head. Malt, herbs, rather medical. Liquorice, cough syrup. Not very balanced.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 OleR (3647) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2011
From tap @ Grünerløkka Mat & Mikroølfestival. Opaque dark brown with ruby edges. Low beige cream head. A nice blend of fruits and soft dark malts in the aroma. Also a discreet whiff of coriander. Big and smooth malt body, nicly balanced by fruits, dark malts and a mild bitterness. Mild spices in the ending. No disturbing alcohol. A lovely beer.
