A dark brown beer with a nice smokey nose. A ggod balanced beer with flavours of roasted malt, coffee, a hint of licorice and smoke. A nice porter for those long winter evenings

On tap at the brewpub.a finger-thick beige head sits on top of a clear, dark brown body. Lightly smoked nose with roasted malts, coffee and some licorice. Nice bitterness towards the end of the flavor, with roasted malts, coffee and a subtle smoked touch. Full body, nice carbonation and a touch of alcohol warmth. A well brewed smoked porter. 111014

On tap at the Brewpub. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Smooth semi dry palate. Dark malt, a little roasty. Smooth lacto and coffee. Citrus hops shows briefly before the dry finish. Decent.

On tap at Amundsen 14.10.11. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is smoked, roasted malt, fruit, hop. Flavour is smoked, roasted malt, hop, fruit. medium to full body. OK/Nice beer.

Full black beer, topped by a big beige head.
Smoky aroma, fruits, roasted malt.
Roasty taste with herbs, smoke and caramel.
Dry and lasting finish.
This rate is from the new batch, which I think is better than the one I had last fall.

On tap at brewpub 21 feb 2012. Black colour with a thin light beige head. Milde smoked and roasted nose. usually I do not fancy smoked beer to much, but Amundsen and Haandbryggeriet have changed my mind. First they told me that they where no more Snill IPA left (later I found out that they was wrong), so i ordered this. Nice choice. A fine mild smoked, roasted and some chocolate flavour.

Draught. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hopy aroma. Very smoked. Moderate bitter flavor. Very nice smoked. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

On tap @ Amundsen 2011.11.14 Dark brown, almost black body with a thin beige head. Nice malty aroma with moderate smoke and some fruity hops. Flavor is sweet malty, light roasted, some smoke, fruity and moderate bitterness. Medium body. Quite nice, good flavor, but a bit sweet and relatively moderate smoke level.

Fra kran på Beer Palace, Oslo 31 Okt 11. Kullsort med en anelse rødfarge. Nesten ikke skum. Det lille som er fester seg til glasset. Behagelig røykaroma. Litt sjokolade. Balansert smak. Lakris, sjokolade med en touch av røyk. Avslutter passe bittert & tørt. En koseporter!
