Amber/red with a generous frothy head. Caramel, malty, slightly smokey/peaty. Medium sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Average carbonation. Well done and quite interesting.

33cl bottle bb04/2016 shared by Hugi. More acajou-brown than red. Nose of caramelised chestnuts. More roast, confident hop bitters, chestnut peel inside astringency in taste. Missing the fruitiness and roundness of an Irish Red Ale here, the hops make it taste earthy-bitter like a Flemish bière de garde.

Shared with bastarda, Bierle and bartlebier. Brown, slightly hazy, medium head. A bit malty and smokey flavours. Woody taste, a bit roasty and smokey. At the end, a bit hoppyness. Full body, medium bitter.

courtesy of Hugi, thank you! also shared with Bierle and bartlebier. Too much alcohol in the nose for this abv, woody hints as well, simple taste, subtle maltyness a bit of sourness and a pleasant aftertaste of coffee and roasted malts.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 14/09/2016 de 5.5%. Courtesy of and shared with Cécile.

330ml bottle from Tri Martolod. Grassy, caramel, some tart aromas. Pours hazy amber, with vanishing off white head. Light to medium body, watery, low carbonation, oily texture. Taste is caramel, malty, subtle citrusy.

Bottle, bought @ La Maison de 100 Biere Bretonnes, Locronan. Pours clear dark chestnut with a small, frothy, off-white film head. Aroma has sweet caramel malts, light peity smoke, mild toasted. Medium carbonation, dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has plenty smoke, caramel, soft grass. Good, lingering bitterness. A bit too smoky for me.
