Cask at The Seaforth, Ullapool. It pours mahoganny brown, with a medium white head. The nose is raisin, plum, caramel, wood and leather. The taste is leather, light cocoa, wood, sour grain and raisin, with a pretty dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A decent bitter.

Cask by handpump at Halfway House, Edinburgh (15 May 12) - clear brown ale, bubbly off-white head, roasted malt aroma, good temperature, nutty malt, bit of biscuit, bit watery

Pours clear copper-brown colour with minimal head. Aroma of sweetish malts and faint fruits. Flavour of malts, some sweet caramel and faint herbal notes.

Cask. Basic bland bitter real. Very typical product. Slight hops and some malty flavor.

Cask @ The Bon Accord. Medium dark brown colour, clear with good head. Sour grain malt aroma. Fruity fagash malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. A big tasting bog standard bitter.

Bottle from Hogs Back brewery. Pours murky brown colour with no head. The aroma of malt and of pines, the taste is very sour with a dry finish. Not very good.

Cask @ State Bar. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and sour fruits. Flavour is sour fruits, malts. Some biscuit. A bit watery.

Cask Deep amber body, dense creamy head. Rich aroma of dark fruits, mild roast and prominant toffee malt and British style hops. Smooth texture, medium body, medium-low carbonation. Rich toffee malts, good roast complexities with some smokiness and coffee elements. Plum and ripe black fruits towards a grassy hop bitterness to finish.. Highly quaffable and enjoyable bitter. Hard to fault.

On tap at Cloister’s Bar in Edinburgh. Amber color. Lightly sweet Similar to Stewarts 80%.
