Mes_and_Sim (4320), Highgate, Greater London, England Apr 16, 2008 A Mes rate: cask at the Three Judges, Glasgow. Clean golden with a thin Persil white head. Creamy and wheaty malt aroma with light citric notes. Bland-ish flavour that is simialr to the nose. Just not quite enough hop for me. cgarvieuk (2350), Edinburgh, Scotland Dec 8, 2007 Cask at halfway house edinburgh ... Golden orange ... ligth caramel nose ... sweet fruity little orange hop ... soft hopleading to nice fruity finisg. pivnizub (3793), Porúří, Germany Aug 9, 2007 On tap: coloured like honey, small persistent head, moderate sulphury and hoppy nose, some malt in the background, underpinned by a discreet fruitiness; moderate bitter flavour, light bodied; green apples in the bitter aftertaste. O.K., spicy and pleasant.......... Nuffield (2537), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jul 16, 2007 Side by side with a half-pint of Houston Killelan. This was slightly darker, but still a golden beer with moderate-sized bubbles. Dustry, dry, slightly like old tobacco leaves. Underlying fruitiness, with a vegetal, grassy edge, and a wholly controlled bitterness, as if it would come out if it could but the beer isn’t letting it. Typical palate of the style. Almost a hint of a peanut butter flavor to it at some level.... (cask hand-pull at Three Judges, Glasgow) DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Feb 7, 2007 Cask Stillage from the outside bar at the Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield 16/12/2006
Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured and hoppy with some plum fruit flavour. Smooth and slightly bitter on the palate. Dry lasting malt finish.
