Feb 24, 2009 Cask at the Halfway House Edinburgh ... Deep brown ... thin bubbly tan head ... light roast malt nose ... light sweet roast .. lottle dark fruits ... ligth hop ... good balance... easy drinking ...i guess this has improved since 2006 :-)

Dec 1, 2006 Gravity, Turf Tavern Autumn Ale Festival. Mostly black with slightly brown highlights. A little rum to the aroma, but mostly molasses, really thickly laid on, to the point where it reminds me of barbecue sauce. Smoky roast, rather sour molasses that gets more sour as you go, to the point of being decidedly unpleasant. Lots of flavor, which is more than some stouts can boast. However, it’s seriously out of balance and weird.

Dec 1, 2006 [Cask from The Three Judges] dark brown/black with minimal head. Toasty aroma, some chocolate, berry fruit, slightly off note of balsamic. light body, slighty dry, some off flavours and a little tartness which is out of place. Summit wrong with this one me thinks.
