First tasted this in Blackfriers, Glasgow in December 2005. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Slight citric note in the short aroma. Good lacing and a thin mouthfeel. Pale malts give a weak malty base with lemon zest and tart grapefruit evident. Slight flavour of hop resins which fade too soon. Bitter sweet finish. Like a spring ale in style and ideal as a quick thirst quencher before moving on to better things.

Cask. Creamy white head atop a pale amber brew. Good balance of hop flavour, aroma and bitterness; quite grassy and spicy, with pale malts and caramels. A bit lean but nice overall.

From cask at Bon Accord. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small and creamy white head. Dry hoppy and vague citrusy aroma. Mild malty flavoured and with a light fruity hops note to a mild bitter brew. Light malty and medium dry bitter finish. Crisp and easy.

On tap: Deep golden to light amber coloured, small foam, sticking to the glass; distinctive fruity (raspberries) and malty nose; moderate bitter, a bit sweetish flavour, light bodied; fruity-bitter finish with a light sourness. O.K., decent stuff.........

[cask at The Three Judges] Pale yellow with only a little head. Fruity apricot notes, faintly leafy hops, breadish french stick aromas. Light body with a little sweetness upfront and a dry finish which leaves more breadyness.
