Draft. Blackish beerw ith a tan head. Coffee aroma and flavor. Medium bodied. Coffee/espesso lingers with light chocolate.

Pours black in color with a creamy khaki colored head. Tons of coffee on the nose. Great espresso, some dark chocolate, a hint of cocoa, and a nice roast profile. Light earthy hop notes as well. The flavor is really heavy on the espresso, of course, a hint of coffee grounds, earthy hops, and tons of roast. A touch of dark chocolate and a very mild bitterness. Really nice body for a relatively moderate ABV/gravity beer.

Draft at Anacapa. Nose is roasty coffee with hints of smokiness, and good chocolate. Black with a moderate, heavy lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is heavy roast coffee, chocolate, and hints of bitterness and smoke. Best beer of my four day trip!
