Draught at the brewpub. Black with a tight, lacy tan head. Roasty, dark chocolate aroma, a hint of salt and tinge of smoke. Firmly roasty and bitter flavor. The smoke is subtle in the face of the dry, roasty flavors, but adds a nice complexity. All the parts feel just slightly out of alignment, but this one is still interesting and tasty.
