On Tap at Rockfish
Cloudy peach/amber color with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Aromas of classic Belgiun spice and yeast. Flavor was decidedly fruity and sweet. Bannnnas, apricots and cloves. Tuti-Fruiti, one of my companions that day called it. Slightly unfiltered feel and a clean finish.

Well lets lock this fucker in. Nose is grainy, a touch sulphuric, some corn, alcohol, light dust, and some yeasty sweetness. Pours darker golden/amber with a big frothy head. The flavor is dusty, bready, grainy, a tad sulphuric, corny, with some alcohol as well. Earthy bitterness shows up in the end. Dry and dusty. Not that good.

Interesting Belgian Ale, had the traditional yeasty qualities, but had the aroma of NW hops, with lots of resiny pine and citrus, followed by some various spices, grainy malt background, has that cereal malt flavor, with some great citrus acidity and medium carbonation. Very nice and different, but kind of a crossover, not a huge amount of Belgian qualities.

Not sure if this is the right Belgian, the one I tried was "Pucker Up." On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear gold, with a deep and lacy white head. Big aroma of citrus, lemon, pine. Light body and medium carbonation. Bread and citrus taste. Soft, lemony finish.

Seems like they have multiple beers made under the belgian ale name. Mine was bright yellow with big friothy head. Aroma was barn and straw with a graefruit note. Sour flavour throughout but lots of wheat flavour and yeast to balance this out. I really enjoyed this ale.

Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival (GCBF) in 2001. Overly hopped to cask-condition it, which made the beer lose its Belgian character. A somewhat misleading name, I thought, but the beer itself is good and tastes like an IPA. Low carbonation, smooth, and bitter.

Brettanomyces batch in March 2006. Pour is hazy blond with spicy aroma Taste is sweet but it has a lot of citrus (lemon and orange) with a bit of floral. Also some ginger?? Lots of flavors and very drinkable. Nice job!

On tap. Poured a real hazy straw color. A rather sweet aroma of cotton candy and bread yeast came from this beer. A slight sour note which actually blends well with all the sweetness in this beer. Very typical flavors of bread yeast, spice, and stale hops?? Seemed a bit warm or "un-aged" I will have to try it agian later.

On tap at the brewery. Cloudy yellow beer with a thin white head. Light sweet aroma, some spicy yeast, coriander, and a nice leathery character as well. Flavour is quite sweet. Light fruity pale malt, appley yeast, a bit of bubble gum top notes and some nice leathery, barnyardy notes. Brewer said this had only been on Brett for about 5 months, which is hard to believe considering how much the character comes through. Flavour is still quite sweet and chewy, but it should dry out nicely over the next 6 months or so.

On tap at the brewery
Cloudy but vibrant yellow colour. Leathery, bretty aroma with woody notes. This is still very sweet...I’m actually surprised they’ve released it already as the brett has only begun to do its thing. Hints of alcohol late. Mainly lots of pale malt and peachy, fruity esters alongside light brett notes. Quite frankly, I expect significant changes in this beer over the next few months as the brett does its thing.
