GCBF 2010. Orange amber. Sticky toffee malts and citrus pith, leafy hops battle it out for center stage on the palate. A tasty little IPA.

Tap at GCBF 2010. Grassy aroma.
Cloudy amber, creamy layer.
Gras and pine notes, citrus, dry hoppy finish.
Light body
Hoppy aftertaste, a bit too much emphasis on the hops for my taste.

Sampled at GCBF ’10, pours orangey amber with a small white head. Aroma of citrus hops and caramel malts to balance. Flavour is more dominated by the malts with the hops kicking in later on. Not bad.

On tap at Collins. Pours peachy-brown with barely any white head. Peach and citrus aromas that are almost soapy. No balance in the taste. Grapefruit peel lingers into a bitter clove-like finish.

Hops in the nose, floral with that light fruitiness to add. Golden amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice floral flavors with that grapefruit flavor and hops bitterness in the finish. This was a very nice IPA.

8/29/09 on draft at Hopunion Hop School. Aroma is grape noted forward, but somehow not sweet, highly citric, with light caramel. Appearance is a deep hazy orange with a well maintained cream colored head. Flavor is all earthy flavors forward, but a little simple with substantial malt sweetness but no caramel. Mouthfeel is medium-high bodied with a medium carb texture. Overall, a simple but cool IPA, perhaps because its so easy drinking?

Mode: Draft
Source: Brewpub
Appearance: cloudy orange, fine off white head, lots of lace
Aroma: sweet crystal malt aroma with an abundance of citrus hops
Body: creamy body
Flavor: solid hop flavor from beginning to finish, sweet crystal malt provides a good delivery system for the hops, bitterness comes in to balance but stays out of the way of the hop flavor before leaving a long bitter finish

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jasonp (1556) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 2, 2009
On tap numerous times at The Collins Pub in Seattle, June 2008. Hazy unfiltered orange with an off-white head. Very fresh, bright hop nose - like sniffing fresh centennial hop pellets. Simple pale malt base with a bit of sweetness from perhaps a touch of munich malt. Next, is a blast of bright, grapefruit and pine hop juiciness. Medium bodied, but not at all thin with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. An ace session IPA. This was not a 4.8% abv beer - that has to be updated.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 michael-pollack (4962) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 22, 2009
Aroma of hops, grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine, and light citrus. Poured orange in color with a small, off-white/light tan head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Ok lacing. Flavor is medium bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, grapefruit, and some citrus. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Hoppy, pine, grapefruit, and slight resin finish is dry.

Pours medium orange with a smallish white head. Smells fairly sweet, and there’s definitely a good malt contingent in here, but it has a nice balance. Good all-around IPA, and very sessionable.
