Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber. Strong grapefruit aroma. Sweet with firm body. The massive hoppiness covers the syrupy mouthfeel well, and the bitterness it creates keeps lingering on. A solid IPA.

Cloudy amber color with large head. Not much aroma, but the flavor is malty, and it’s well hoppy.

Hazy orange color, small white head. Strong aroma of grapefruit, pineapple and pine needles. Medium to full-bodied. Good bitter grapefruity flavor with some resiny notes and tropical fruits. Excellent hoppy IPA!

Very cloudy beige - first pull off the cask. Massive dry hop aroma, but different than the standard PNW fare....this one includes Simcoe for starters. The aroma is bright and fruity, evocative of peaches, papaya and light grapefruit. The body is lean with a bracing grapefruit bitterness, but then a late sweetness comes in. The standard for IPAs is so high in Washington state you can hardly go wrong.

Appearance: cloudy orange, fine off white head, lots of lace
Aroma: sweet crystal malt aroma with an abundance of citrus hops
Body: creamy body
Flavor: solid hop flavor from beginning to finish, sweet crystal malt provides a good delivery system for the hops, bitterness comes in to balance but stays out of the way of the hop flavor before leaving a long bitter finish

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. The beer is a slightly cloudy orange-amber color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Hops, malt and citrus in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, sweet malt and citrus. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2005 Tap at the brewery. Dry-hopped with Simcoe. Cloudy pale golden beer, thick white head. Sweet, fruity hop aroma, resinous and piny. Flavour is also quite good, sweet, but clean maltiness, nice fruity hops toward the finish. Lingering resinousness. Quite a nice Washington IPA. Tap at GCBF. Pale golden beer, thin white head. Very fresh, hoppy aroma. Flavour has light bitterness, some pale malt. Very grassy flavour over top of a light grapefruity note. 7/3/6/3/13

Draught at the brewery
Rich, deep orane and clear appearance. Light carbonation. Very sharp and dry bitterness, very acidic. The body is light to moderate thickness, with a wonderful oily hop flavor and a very parched finish. Nose centers around acidic pine and grapefruit. A great PNW IPA.
