Taster - Washington Beer Commission Oktoberfest - Seattle, WA
Aroma – Nice malt aroma with a light hops backing nice spice also added.
Appearance – Amber in color, clear with a light head.
Flavor – Good amber malt usage the laagering was very nice and the flavor very mild and with a hint of spice.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A very nice beer for the season easy to drink.

Not a strong appearance for an Oktoberfest and I hesitate to give it even a 3....Very hazy for the style, with a small, fleeting off-white head and a ruddy-chestnut color. No lacing.
The nose is immediately peppered with hops, though they arent of the high alpha variety, fortunately. Bradiness comes on somewhat strong, but instead of growing sweet and melanoidin-like, it continues to dry out and gets roasty. Lots of minerals and some doughiness/blandness on the end. Medium strength of aroma, with no flaws.
Lightly to moderately bitter hops harry the palate up front, though there is little to sink in to, other than a basic pale malt sweetness followed by strong, roasty notes. Way too heavy on these notes which really shouldnt be present at all in the style. Way too forceful in the malt flavors, though not the actual sweetness. No flaws, but just not what I’d call an oktoberfest, which should be very drinkable, as this isn’t. No alcohol perceived. Watery, somewhat slick and uneventful texture, with medium carbonation.

On tap at the spring brew fest. in Seattle. Amber colored. Aroma is somewhat lacking, but definitely getting some malt. Light bodied with malt and alcohol flavors. Not too bad.

Hazy amber with thin head. Skunky nose. Like a lot of their beers has a dirty line cigar butt taste
