Serving: from tap at Rockfish Grill. Aroma: light, coffee aroma. Appearance: small, rocky light brown, initial head that quickly disappeared. Almost no lacing. Dark-brown/black body. Taste: light, roasted malt, initial flavor and lightly acidic finish. Long duration. Palate: medium-to-heavy body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Overall: pretty good, but not great.

Draught, into a growler. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head on there. Nose is quite roasty, but little else to it. Taste is extremely roasty, yet comes off as light, and feels like a remarkably easy drink. Definitely a lighter porter.

Dark brown color with large head. Simple but chocolatey; lean mouthfeel, with a decent hopping.

Draft at uber. Dark pour, creamy khaki head. Aroma of chocolate, cherries, and coffee/roast. Taste: moderately sweet, coffee and cola, very light bitterness at the rear. Light body, feels a bit thin, average carbonation, easy to drink, with sort of a seltzer water quality. Overall: this is alright, and easily sessionable.

Pours deep ruby, more like a brown ale, finger light tan head. Smell roasty coco, bit nutty. Taste light roasty chocolate and coffee. Medium to light body. Good.

Pint @ Rock Fish. Practically perfect representation of a porter. Beautiful coffee bean aroma with a subdued roasty body. This should be drank in great quantities (over long periods of time).

A draft pour at the brewpub this showed up a dark mahogany with tan head and light lacing. Nose of roasted malts and floral hops. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Flavor shows chocolate and the finish is lightly bitter. True to style and easy drinking.

On tap at the brewpub/restaurant pouring up deep dark mahogany with garnet edges and thin tan head. The aroma is very mild and vaguely speaks to dark roasted malts and really nothing else. The taste brings up a modest level of highly roasted malts, some black licorice and a touch of chocolate malts. Nice balanced roasty porter.
