3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle thanks to Lewis. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a decent head. The nose has honey, nuts and soggy cornflakes. The taste has more honey and nuts with some citrus. The palate is medium bodied and thick textured with a fairly clean finish. Overall, a decent attempt at making a bock taste balanced.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled from Coppers, Newcastle upon Tyne. Aroma’s of fresh hay, and a golden colour to match. Very smooth mouthfeel, does not feel like a 7%er.
A little hot alcohol on the palate but in no way off putting. Crisp and clean on the finish, another cracker from Anarchy.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle Coppers Ncl. loads of fruity aromas, I get peach and lychee, with some honey notes too. Warming on the tongue with sherry and pudding wine flavours, the warmth continues into the finish. Don’t detect a huge amount of hoppiness, some grass and hay late on. Not bad at all

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The bartender and some regulars were talking about this, though because it wasn’t cask (regular tap) they weren’t so keen, and they regarded this as mostly a BrewDog-style big abv marketing beer. Now, on my tasting, it didn’t have a great aroma...murky and hot resonant, and in the tasting it is a little hot. Fruity, sweet--potentially attractive. But still, I couldn’t escape from thinking that this was a little lame, though I read in the Cheers NE (June 2012 edition) that it uses New Zealand hops...earning some respect from me. (on tap at the Lady Grey, Newcastle)
