330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Cautious grainy aroma, a touch of straw and hay. Taste is pale malty, minmally malty spicy, unspecific fruity, some bitter hop in the finish.

33 cl bottle as "Anarchy Lager". BBE 31.05.2014.
Pours hazy amber color with a large frothy head. Aroma is hoppy and slightly herbal, faint citrus fruits and sadly some vegetables also. Flavor is a bit stuffy with sweet fruits and caramel, some pineapple, veggies, faint strawberries and malts, lingering alcohol notes and gooseberries on the finish. Slightly harsh bitter palate with some sticky notes and slightly disturbing alcohol throughput, all in all a disappointing brew.

The bartender and some regulars were talking about this, though because it wasn’t cask (regular tap) they weren’t so keen, and they regarded this as mostly a BrewDog-style big abv marketing beer. Now, on my tasting, it didn’t have a great aroma...murky and hot resonant, and in the tasting it is a little hot. Fruity, sweet--potentially attractive. But still, I couldn’t escape from thinking that this was a little lame, though I read in the Cheers NE (June 2012 edition) that it uses New Zealand hops...earning some respect from me. (on tap at the Lady Grey, Newcastle)

0.33cl bottle (via Beerbods). Doesn’t necessarily taste its strength. For me, there was an predominant after taste of almost treacle.

Keg at The Southern. Hazy amber, thin white head. Sweet lager aromas, sweet strong lager taste. Kinda like a posh Special Brew. Not that impressed to be honest.

Cask at the Darlington Beer Festival. Golden with a little white froth. Quite a sweet beer with caramel flavour plus a little grapfruit. Alcohol is overly evident. Not great.
