Crisp and fresh, Blonde Star is light in body but certainly not in flavour. Brim full of lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit and pale malt. Refreshing and satisfying, this was our first beer and it’s still our biggest seller. Available in cask and bottle.

500ml bottle. Light straw colour with a small head. Very mild aroma with not much in it. Flavours of honey, citrus, perhaps a little apple, but all these are pretty mild. Doesn’t blow you away to begin but then the hops kick in and they give a robust and satisfyingly bitter satisfying finish. Low to moderate carbonation, pretty smooth. A good session pale ale, I think.

Flaske 330ml fra Meny Oslo City. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 5 Apr 16. Lys gyldengulbrun. Middels høyt kritthvitt skum. Teppelacing. Lett krydret aroma. Smaken har et tydelig fruktpreg med plommer mest framtredende. For mye kullsyre.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Foamy white head over near-clear yellow-gold body. Smell of herbal hops and hay. Lemony hopped flavours together with pale malts. Dry bitter ending. Foamy in the mouth. Satisfying (session at Finn’s place in Tromsø, 05.04.2016).

Bottle, Brewdog Leicester. Pale hazy gold with a large white head. Light pale malts with lemon and pithy grapefruit. Grassy with leafy pine. Some soap. Quite simple and a bit thin. OK.

Bottle. Pale yellow, light haze. Citrus, some ginge on nose. Sort of weak wheat malty, strawy, bit hay saisonny. But quite weak, dull overall. Med light bodied, dryish hay finish. Some, bit unpleasant wet herby, grassy notes, citrus pale straw malts. Has flavours, but bit unrefined, sometimes weak dull, dusty.

Bottle. This was not very nice, to be frank: looks ok but no real wheat aroma. Taste is bland, short and some unpleasant grass. Disappointing and I hope I might have gotten a bad bottle.
