Our hoppy blonde Citra Star is loaded with the grapefruit, lemon and lime but is light bodied enough to keep you coming back for more. Highly hopped with a big, bitter finish. Available in cask, keg and bottle.

On draught, Durham Beer Festival 2012. Very cloudy, however it is worth noting that most of the beers I tried at this festival had clarity issues, Excellent citrus aroma and flavour, does exactly what it says on the tin. Long lasting aftertase of lemon and bitter apple. A seasoned beer enthusiast drinks with thier mouth and nose, not their eyes. Full marks, barring the appearance.

Look; off white top, light golden clear body. Aroma; fresh grapefruit juice, wet pine, juicy malts. Taste; hops, pale malts, citrus, grapefruit, lemon - ends in light resiny caramel, grapefruity hops. Feels somewhat dry, clean, fresh, easy. Overall; nice n easy quaff. 0,33 l flaske fra Gulating Arendal. Klar sprudlende gyllen kropp med et centimeter-tykt hvitt skum. Innbydende søtlig tropisk frukt, furunåler, humlearoma, minner lukten av brus med champagnesmak. Noe fylde. Grei humlejuice. Tørr.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 05.12.15. Cloudy, pale straw colour. Diminishing white head. Aroma of lime juice, lemon juice, resin and last, but unfortunately not least, lemon urinal blocks and toilet disinfectant. Presumably similar taste, but also with succade and lemon and lime marmalade.

Flaske fra Det gode brygg, Sandnes, delt med Ovesen: lett uklar lys gylden med kort skum. Lukter lime, kvae og halvt inntørket grapefrukt. Ditto i smaken. Mild bitterhet med litt sødme i avslutningen.

Bottle, k-ruohis. Golden pale, slight haze. Strong citric, grapefruity, light gingery, dishsoapy estery green berryish hoppy nose. Pale malts, if any, pretty hop dominated. Light bodied, bit watery, but ok, sort of sodapop-y. Bitter, grapefruity, and those green berries. A very hoppy, light bodied, flavoured, thing. Clean, hoppy, but as a beer (or ’session ipa’) not that satisfying. These shouldnt be just hopped-up watery.

Insipid, thin and watery beer despite the punchy citra hop it uses. Very light colour, lemon on the nose but lack of real Citra aroma and tastes less than it’s already low ABV. Disappointing use of one of my favourite hops and seriously lacking any malt flavours. Virtually no carbonation.

On bottle from Gulating Ølutsalg a while back. Hazy golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity ; hoppy, tropical fruits, citrus & good fruitiness . Medium body & complexity. Good bitterness and balance. Subtle, well balanced and enjoyable beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
