Winner of ’Best Stout in Europe’ at the World Beer Awards 2015. Our dark, voluptuous breakfast stout is infused with Ethiopian Guji natural coffee beans from Stafford based coffee roaster Hasbean. Velvety and viscous, it is balanced delicately with New Zealand hops. Available in cask. keg and bottle.

Keg at Red Squirrel High Wycombe. Black with a middling brown head. Nice frothy mouthfeel. Coffee is there from the off, with chocolate, roasty malts and some port-like fruitiness. Really great balance between malty sweetness and roasty bitterness. Very tasty, very drinkable, plus it put a smile on my face. An excellent stout.

Bottle. Dark brown in color with a tan head. Coffee beans in aroma mostly, feels quite roasted though later on. Coffee, salty licorice and roasted notes in taste. Does its job, tasty. Bit raw, but has got some nice dry cocoa bitter finish.

33 cl bottle @ home. BBE 08/2017
Aroma has semi-dark chocolate and some manure. Flavour has dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, ash and mild mineral tones. Also licorice root. Aroma wasn’t promising but flavour is good, a tad too salty though.

330ml bottle - thanks martjoobolt!
Thin and really beany aroma. Dark, brief head. Slightly ashy palate, but also more beans in the taste. Watery mouthfeel. Dryish cocoa powder feel left on the tongue. OK, does have some fairly pleasantly bitter bite and tingle in the finish. Winner of "most overhyped commercial description of the evening".
