4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This pours a reddish amber with small off white head. Smell is orange and lemon peel, grapefruit and hops. Taste is wonderful, with the grapefruit and orange peel really prominant before the intense bitterness and both working together wonderfully. It is sweet and oily whilst being pleasingly bitter. A fantastic beer and well worth buying and I intend to buy again in future!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle from Glug, Newcastle. Wow. What an apt name for a beer - almost took my head off. Pours mahogany reddish brown, huge abrasive bitter flavours with a teasing sweetness. Concentrated toffee and orange peel appear mirage-like before the bitterness takes over once more, bombarding you alongside a heavy ABV.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle at The Local Pub, Greece Athens. Dark orange to light red color, very haze with an almost pink head!!! Surprised! Aromas of bubblegum, caramel and some fruits from the hops. The alcohol becomes a little apparent. The taste is caramel, flowers and some earthy hops. Nice hoppy, lasting aftertaste. Light to medium body with light carbonation. Not the perfect DIPA example, but very nice as a different and "funky" beer.

330ml bottle. Murky, reddish brown colour with average, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Resinous and citrusy hop aroma, notes of blood orange, grapefruit. Taste is bitter hoppy, resinous, notes of blood orange, grapefruit and the like, moderately sweet caramel malty backbone; lasting bitter finish, oily texture. Excellent!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a cloudy brown beer with strong pine and tropical fruit flavours followed by a sweet and slight tart finish. Tastes way weaker than its 10% ABV.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at The Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours a hazy, pale orange colour. Aroma of fruit, and fresh hops. Very smooth and very very drinkable notwithstanding its 10% ABV. Good body, slightly sticky texture, minimal carbonation. Rather heavy in its sweetness, but that did not detract from its quality or my enjoyment of what I thought was a very good beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
13th November 2013
Tasting at Bruce’ s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Hazy dark amber beer with a good bubbly off white head. Mild piney nose. Light smooth palate with fine carbonation. Sweet malts, thin but creamy and bringing mild toffee. Piney hops with light hop spice. Little tropical fruits. Some aniseed alcohol showing. Finishes smooth with a bitterish piney fruity linger. Not bad at all.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Leighton at Colin’s 5K. It pours hazy deep amber with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is stewed orange, tangerine, mango, candy, booze and wood. The taste is bitter-sweet, wood, earth, orange, mango, juicy fruits, toast, spice, sherbet, chewy malt and some alcohol warmth. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit heavy, but enjoyable nonetheless.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared at my 5K tasting at Bruce’s pad, thanks once to Leighton - he never stops a ratin’ - for this one, 13/11/13.
Hazed dark amber with a moderate off white covering.
Nose is sweet, orange, light pine, candied sugars, pineapple, pear juice.
Taste comprises earthy hops, grapefruit, sugars, sweet caramel sauce, straw.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale with semi aggressive hop bitterness coming into play.
Ok - a little rough around the edges and overly sweet, needs a few subtle tweaks and it could become a 3.6/7.
