3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE Feb 17, at Angleterre, 20160728) The beer poured deep amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, grass, sweetness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, sweetness, grass, red currant juice, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A very bitter brew but still rather nice.

33 cl bottle @ The Bull. BBE 02/2017.
Pours hazy yellow color with a small head. Aroma is sweet tropical fruits and resin, some heavy hops and pine. Flavor is orange and resinous hops, good malty body, some gooseberries on the finish. Very bitter bite here, a nice hop-heavy DIPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Freshfields, Croydon. A bit surprising at first; less carbonated than expected and less hoppy, but a much more complex flavour, with sweet malted notes mingling with orange citrus flavours and a good tang of bitterness alongside the good sweetness of a Belgian tripel. The kind of beer that gets better with each sip.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted this in the Sate Bar, Glasgow on the 7th April 2016. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber in colour with a thin loose white head. Strong Del Monte tropical fruit salad on the nose. Thick resiny mouthfeel and very little in the way of lacing. Strong malty base gives a sweet toffee background with powerful juicy tropical fruit flavours of mango, guava, papaya, pineapple, gaia melon bursting full in the mouth. Strong hop resins impart a sweet citrus bomb shell to the mouth as well which is long lasting and intense. Strong malt finish with juicy fruit still coming through in sweet syrupy notes on the palate. This is a cracking Impy IPA, full of complexity and flavour - no harsh alcoholic burr present, so it hides the 10% ABV really well. Cracking name! Reminded me of a real beefed up version of Thornbridge Jaipur IPA! Highly recommended.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at The York Tap in York. A hazy amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Fruity, caramel aroma. Tastes fruity, caramel, bitter/sweet, slightly boozy and heavy but a decent Imperial IPA nevertheless.
