750ml bottle. Dark brown color, with a pinkish beige head. Nose: smokey, roasted, cherries, (wild?) yeast ver much present. bit sugarish, hint of sourishness. Taste gives brown chocolate, speculoos, some mocha. Lacks a bit of power though. carbonated and a gentle finish (which I did not expect). To me, it feels that the porter and the ’kriek’ just do not mix up together. Lacks a bit of punch from the ’kriek’ and the smoothness of the porter. Nevertheless a good effort, like this. Nice experiment.

Bottle shared by a kind soul in a location remote of my dining room.

The beer pours a very dark brown with a small head.

The aroma is lightly chocolaty with a bunch of sweet and tart cherry notes.

The flavor is tart cherries and chocolate, it’s fairly dry, fairly roasty, it’s got a mild bitterness and a nice fruit driven sourness.

It’s a nice enough rendition of a fruited porter for sure, but at the same time with the malt/flavor profile going on here I’m not sure that a beer like this couldn’t be easily remade with some other less coveted tart cherry with similar or nearly the same results.

Butelka 75cl.

Nice cherry nose, very little chocolate. Dark reddish brown color. Tart but not too tart, minimal sweetness, and just a touch of hop bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
