3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Beautiful, beautiful beer. A fiery red with tight rocky head. Big malt flavours and naturally quite sweet. I could do with a bit more balance in this and the flavour profile became a bit muddied as it warmed.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pretty coppery amber with a tall, dense foamy tan head. Nice caramel, toasted malt and earthy hops in the nose. Dark bread, toasted malt, caramel, earthy hops, light fruit and floral hops make up the flavor profile. Medium body but chewy with a dense, creamy and bubbly carbonation. Ends with more caramel, dark bread, light fruit, floral hops, earthy hops and toasted malt notes.

Another solid Anchor entry. A full bodied ale with a good balance of malls and hops. Also, a hint of maple.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour. Pours a copper color with a slightly sweet malty aroma. Really nice caramel like flavor with an expected touch of maple. Just a really good, super easy drinking, full of flavor amber beer here. Really enjoyed this one. Just plain good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Excellent appearance marks. Slope-shouldered 12oz bottle. Great label. Oaky, red-brown beer with a clingy white head. Aroma reminded me a bit of an English bitter - tawny, tannic, a little vanilla and toffee, a little sweaty. As with most amber ales, it’s too tannic for me to really enjoy it. Technically pretty good though. Medium to slightly light body. Trader Joe’s, Tallahassee.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of light caramel, apple, faint maple syrup, and nuts. It pours a transparent amber with a two finger off-white head that has great retention before eventually to a thick film outlined by a thicker ring. There is a lot of soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel with a hint of fruit and molasses. The finish has light maple syrup, toasty notes, and some earthy/nutty notes. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, I’m not a big Amber Ale fan, but the addition of maple syrup leaves me liking this more than most.

Good for a red. But tried it because we were told it was supposed too have a rich of maple flavor. It doesn’t. It is slightly hoppy. Decent, but not as stated.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle - 12 oz) Amber pour with a fluffy head. Huge hop aroma with a very light hint of sweetness underneath. Flavor is dry and bitter hops at the start but the light hint of malt and maple lends a soothing characteristic to it. Lightly bitter on the aftertaste.

Lys brun tåkete med lavt hvitt skum. Svært fruktig, sydhavsfrukt og malt lett karamell. Søt smak av karamell og frukter. Kort bitter avslutning.
