A quaffable, well-balanced red ale with character. Its malty complexity and coppery color come from a combination of two caramel malts, pale malt, and a hint of maple syrup.

God duft av honning, sammen med krydder og frukter. Dunkel brun farge. Tynn hinne brunt skum. Frisk smak av honning og krydder med en nydelig sřdme i ettersmaken. Lettdrukket og god. Nydelig řl i sommervarmen.

Reviewed from notes. I poured this into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice red to brown color with a nice one finger white foamy head that lasts for a good minute and leaves some nice adequate somewhat clingy lacing. The smell was basically caramel malts with a decent roastiness running about it and does eventually add a decent maple aroma to come out and make it feel like Autumn. The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors and bundled it up into a nicely packed flavoring. The only thing I got in the aftertaste was a somewhat caramel flavoring there and there was a quick dry finish. On the palate, it sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionable aspect to it, but still has a decent carbonation that is good for the style and for me. Overall, I say this was a nice American Amber/Red ale that one can have in Autumn. I’ll make sure to have this again next Autumn.

Served in snifter, purs deep orange, perfectly amber and slightly hazy with large, creamy head. Seems a little bit overcarbonated. Aroma is mixed beetween hops, some honey (maybe mapple syrup?) and caramel malts with the former most intensive, mainly citrus and floral. Overall, its very encouraging. Taste is suprising, I expected more of sweetness, but its dominantly bitter with long finish and herbal aftertaste. I dont really sense any mapple, only some maltiness and caramel, but its quickly overwhelmed by hoppiness. Its perfectly carbonated. Its a good choice for an amber ale, but you wouldnt definitely enjoy more sweetness and less hops.

Fruits, caramel and pine in the aroma. Amber with a off white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a average carbonation. Overall a interesting ale with a nice fruity flavour.

Sötét sárga tiszta, pezsgő, szénsavas kevés fehér habbal. Szőlős, muskotályos kellemes illat társul enyhe és szúrós mérges karakterrel karamell ágyon. Meglepően száraz közepesen keserű, alkoholos friss. tartós komlós utóízzel. Érdekes megközelítése a stílusnak. Tetszik.

Első amerikai sör, amit hozott nekem egy ismerősöm. A vörös sört nemigazán ismertem eddig, de pozitív élmény volt mindenképpen, És elég igényes a címkéje, üvege is.

Bottle from Zly Casy Beershop. Pours ruby amber with a creamy head and lacings. Caramel, bread, nuts, vanilla and hints of maple syrup and dusty peachy hops. Smooth and dry. Bitter finish.

0.355l bottle. A nice near clear kinda light amber colored one this with a small light lacing off-white top. Noticed now that it’s been quite a while since I’ve tasted a beer from Anchor. It smells quite nice this. A bit sweet and almost a little spicy with fruity sweetness, some light yeast tones and a good amount of caramel. Red apples also found here. Smells nice and it’s hinting of a slightly sweet flavor. Oh, that’s tasty! Not to sweet at all, and it has a really kick almost slightly burned rye flavor all the way. Also the soft melony bitterness balanced the whole thing a lovely way. Malty yeah, but it’s definitely well hopped! A bit high on the bubbles, or not to high just above average and they are of the small kind. Feels light oily on the mouth. Piney finish and aftertaste here, and it’s not letting go easily. Sessional, something I could easily - and will drink again. 23.11.2013
