On tap at Cherry Reds, John Bright Street, Brum. Quite a bitter beer. Malts predominates. But yes, of course, does have this maple sveetness too.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness in York, England (£2.55, 355ml):
Not to bad a beer all in, one that I wasn’t sure about initially but it was one that grew on me some and improved as it was given a chance to further open up and heat up a little. Not one that I’d suggest looking out for but more than worth a try if you happen across it.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home. Aroma of pine and maple. Pretty auburn color with a lasting bone white head. The flavor is green berries, cinnamon, dry maple, and piney hops. Great dry finish with solid maple flavors developing in the far finish. Great seasonal amber.

15th November 2013
Clear amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and a little crisp. Light malt cream. Medium sweet bubblegum is well integrated as are tangy fruits and a little maple. Whisper of spice. Comes together very well. Finishes semi dry.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I poured a clear, brassy amber colored beer with a couple inches of tan, orange hued foam that settled into a lush 1/4 inch sheet. I smell caramel, clean resinous pine and hint of maple. It’s got a well balanced flavor of light toasted bitterness and straight forward caramel with a touch of maple richness and a little hoppy brightness. Medium carb and medium mouthfeel, it’s a very delicious and pretty perfect autumn brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The Sampler, Brooklyn 12oz: Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma is piny hops, some citrus, caramel malts, and maybe maple for somebody else. Taste is hoppy and a tad bit sweet. Halfway through drinking this I forgot this was a maple beer. In fact, I don’t know if I ever even considered it. Oh well.

Bottle from Brewfest. Amber color with a bubbly white head. Piney and citrus hop aroma, sweet malts and hints of maple syrup. Sweet in the front fading into a dry bitter finish. Not bad.
