A quaffable, well-balanced red ale with character. Its malty complexity and coppery color come from a combination of two caramel malts, pale malt, and a hint of maple syrup.

Wow an amber ale that i like. A nice copper color body with an off white head that had great retention and nice lace. A complex aroma of caramel malts, maple syrup, bitter hops and a fruity quality that was almost like tart apples. Flavor had great balance it had just the right amount of sweetness to it from the maple syrup and malts. Hops were assertive and bitter, and it finished with a nice tartness that added to the bitterness very well. A nice smooth body that was slightly dry in the finish. Wish i had this one on a crisp Autumn day.

355ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A copper pour with a tight cream head; the aroma has lots of piney and citrus hops; in the mouth these combine with rich caramel malts to give an explosion of fruity flavour; the finish has lots of depth from the hops, and is slightly sweet - presumably from the maple syrup. Not quite what I was expecting, but really very good.

Aroma has fruity, citrusy notes, light dark fruits, plums, orange, caramel background is more noticiable as the beer warms up. Appearance is clear amber body with medium, short lasting head. Flavor is grassy, pine bitterness with astringent after taste, light woody caramely sweetness. Pretty complex taste. Balanced torwards the bitterness. Body is medium with high carbonation.

Very hoppy. Pretty much an APA. I dig it. No maple taste whatsoever though so i dunno where the name comes from. I really like everything ive had from anchor.

Nice-looking beer with a creamy crown. Gooseberry and caramel aroma. Taste of gelly candy, honey, orange fruits, and of course syrup, in very delicate and well-balanced amounts. Not too sweet, not at all sprawling in any direction. A solid red ale!

Pours a orange color with a big white head. The aromas is of bread, caramel and some malty tones. I can taste caramel, pine and bitterness from the hops. And the sweetness of the maple syrup can be found in the finish..
