COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A quaffable, well-balanced red ale with character. Its malty complexity and coppery color come from a combination of two caramel malts, pale malt, and a hint of maple syrup.

slightly cloudy amber colour, huge, long lasting dense beige head; aroma of biscuit, toffee, some apple and dried fruits; taste is less complex: bitterness and some burnt sugar - based on the aroma I expected more

Quite misty body and beige large and stable head, looking amazing. Interesting and fresh aroma, with biscuit and bready malts, characterful and - well - full. Fresh hop aroma, mixing classic leaf like qualities with an American spruce and citric appeal. Taste isn’t as bitter as expected (perhaps my perception of modern hop lovin’ American brews rather than the now-classic recipes of Anchor and other early craft brewing legends). Easy to drink though and quite juicy and, again, the malt base is wonderful and totally justifies the modest 6% abv. Great balance, great beer. Oh, and I love the Anchor bottles. (Bottle from Saveur Bière)

Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear copper colour, beautiful creamy head. Aroma is surypy malts, grapes and hops, very nice. Flavour is sweetish, surypy malty and quite bitter too with a dry finish. Long aftertaste.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Slightly unclear reddish color, medium sized beige head. Smell malts, some hops, lightly sweet. Taste malts, a touch of caramel some hops, nicely bitter, maybe slightly some maple in there. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle at home. Pours autumnal red with off white head. Head stays and creates nice lacing and bubbles at the tilt. Really good looking beer. Lots of syrup on the nose backed up with woody, earthy notes. When i seen a maple leaf on label I was worried this would be too sweet but it is very well balanced. The flavour is maple syrup at the start with some sweet strawberry jam. Bitterness kicks in on the finish but is hinted at rather than overpowering. Mouthfeel is slick and body is medium. Body carries flavours well, not a hint of alcohol. Carbonation is light to medium. This is a flavoursome well balanced red. One of the better in its style.

Aroma is sweet, syrupy and hoppy. Initial sweetness quickly fades as the hops kick in. Little bit metallic and bitter in the finish.

Pours reddish-amber with an inch of orangey head. Smells of pine, grapefruit, and malt. Whoa. This is interesting: fruity, light maple, and finises with toasted malts.
