3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
some caramel type sweetness with a different tang to it and a short alkaline dryness that reminds me the most of Maple. otherwise a nice piney and juicy red ale that is nice as well as nicely fragrant. a little initial sting in the mouthfeel to add something.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear reddish amber with a big white head. Maple syrup clearly there in the aroma, with some earthy, malty and light spice notes. Slight sweetness on the taste. Finishes short, but a good beer.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Not bad initially, had some bitter inthere, a little more than anticipated. Then it mellows out only to come forward again. Pretty good co2 when on tap at the mad mex in robinson. yes, in the end there seems to be too much personality. Needs a few manners.

Very crisp and smooth. Dark maple but not sweet at all. Caramelized. Kinda hoppy. Interesting brew. Thanks Tony Wil.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Deep auburn hue, lasting foamy off white head. Aroma is certainly sweet, but not exactly in a maple or caramel sense. The palate is quite sweet too, like ripe papaya more than anything, with a very dry bitter finish possessing a hint of metal. Not at all what I thought I was in for, but still enjoyable in the end.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear dark amber with a foamy light cream head. Aroma is cheeky with a fair bit of leafy piney hops, light maple tones, and a fair amount of toffee nuttiness. Taste is clean and malty, with rich toffee earthiness, a bit of herbal hops, and a clean, light finish of maple. Not my all means all-consuming or syrupy. Light leafy hop resin on the finish as well.

Draft. Ruddy copper pour. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Taste is a bit medicinal, chalk, pine. Big bitter finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Caramel and malty aroma. The taste is similar, with an overly sweet flavor. Has a sour note to finish it off. Pretty average beer overall, not a huge fan. 6% alcohol.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Earthy, malty aroma with what seems like fresh hops. Slightly hazy copper/orange with a puffy off-white head. Lots of roasted/toasted malt flavor with woody notes and a good earthy and citrus pith bitterness. Has a nice bite to it even though it’s only 6% ABV. Some residual sweetness although I wouldn’t have guessed maple syrup. More extreme than most Anchor beers, but it still has that signature Anchor taste. Very nice fall beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355 ml bottle, pours clear golden brown with a medium white head. Lovely caramel malt backbone with hints of orange, pine and rounded resiny bitter finish. Carbonation is lively. Not the most complex of beers but one I could have a few of.
