A quaffable, well-balanced red ale with character. Its malty complexity and coppery color come from a combination of two caramel malts, pale malt, and a hint of maple syrup.

Bottle from cellar served at 56F. Pours a rich copper-gold color with a thick off-white head. Head dissipates fairly quickly, but thereís very significant lacing. Aroma is full of hops on the initial smell, thereís caramel, bread, toffee underneath. Taking a drink initially puts a big burst of hop notes throughout your nose and mouth, resiny, piny and a bit of citrus (dried orange peel). Thereís also a sweetness in the malt, caramel. I was expecting a bit more malt and I donít really get any of the maple syrup that is supposed to be in there, but itís a nice beer.

Bottle. Malty hoppy nose - nutty, fragrant, northern brewer hops and some other spicey notes. Big flavor for an amber - pleasantly bittersweet, good layered flavors of caramel malt. Finishes with floral bitter hoppiness. Very good.

Single bottle. As I get older, I an starting to enjoy malty beers. This is a beautiful, deep amber beer with a creamy, tan head. Caramel on the nose and sweet, malty flavors with a tiny hint of maple syrup. A decent beer. Very balanced. Easy to drink. Looking forward as always to fall.

It smells balanced. Nice hoppy aromas with ample malt backing it up. Taste wise, itís not as balanced as the smell as the bitter hops are very assertive. I do have to say the malt is well done and I do get hints of maple. A very pleasurable mouthfeel. This is a solid brew for the autumn season and itís very easy to drink.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Sandefjord. Copper colored , good foam. Aromas of malt, light hops, dried fruits and notes of maple syrup. Medium body & complexity. Some immediate sweetness, but balances very well. Enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
