Anchor Bock Beer

Very good beer although a little out of style with the roasty dryness of the beer. Poured with a beautiful thick bountiful tan head with lots o lace. Opaque brownish black. Very mild aroma. Thick body, satisfying. Had this from a bottle at The Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wisconsiin Usa

great beer. this beer is an excellant bock beer. lots of flavor. nice brown color.

Chewy vegetal and dry malt aroma. Balanced and fine. Very drinkable dry toffee lager malts, a touch of licorice on top of farm fresh milk and plantains. At once delicate and robust, supremely balanced and a very good bock overall. Totally nails the style.

Pours out a nice deep brown color with a small tan head. aroma is that of roasted malts and caramel sweetness. flavor was very much the same, but had a slight btterness tot he finish. Not bad.

Really nice bock with some hints of smokiness in the flavor. A nice change-up to their lineup of beers.

Pours a dark, almost opaque, ruby color with a reasonable light brown head that lingers. Roasted coffee, caramel, and hop flower aroma. Roasted malt, bitter chocolate, and vanilla flavor with moderate hoppiness. A very interesting brew, but as another rater said, this is not a bock.

Sampled in a bottle. Pours very smooth with a dark color. Aroma is semi sweet. Mouthfeel is spectacular. Goes down so smooth with a nice mellow aftertaste. Flavor is littly hopped and a mild malty texture. Overall a very very good beer.

Bottle, Poured clear medium dark brown with a nice frothy brown head. Aroma was a bit sweet and subtly fruity. The first impression upon sipping was that it just had a little extra nutttiness to go along with the roast malts. Definitely has a wheat background. Fairly enjoyable on the whole I would say.
