2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a cola color. Aroma has some spice to it along with a roasted character. Taste is a little too maple syrup for my taste. Taste really lingers though. Some hop notes in the background too.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from the Folsom BevMo. Pourws ruddy dark brown with a 3 finger foamy/creamy dark beige head. Nice aroma of citrusy hop over some mildly roasted malt. Med body/foamy carb. Flavor is astringent fruity/citrusy over roasted malt that reminds of Horlicks. Whoa! That’s a blast from the past. I haven’t had Horlicks in decades. So it’s nicely hopped, but still finishes just a bit malty sweet. The astringency helps cut the sweet. It’s probably a lot more complex than I’m demonstrating. Brown ale? Complex? Who’d have thought.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
500mL thanks to tastybeer. Pours a clear tea amber, reddish with a larger, cascading khaki head. Excellent retention and moderate 360 lace. Nose is fresh strawberry, celery, tea leaves, lemon iced tea. Taste is mild: mild amaretto, buttery biscuit, toasted marzipan, small chocolate, fatty, nutty. Reminds me of my homebrewed brown ale. Easy to session, clean, and fuller in body.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle; poured a dark, chestnut brown with a huge frothy head. Aroma of earth, brown malt, milk, bread with a bit of citrus and earth. Flavor showed much more of the hybrid like nature of the beer. Brown malt, caramel and bready cocoa, with a dash of citrus and earth. Couldn’t fully dig it.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap. Hazy ruby brown with nearly no head. Caramel and malt sweetness in the aroma, which is fairly weak. Tastes much better with dark maltiness some candy-like hoppiness, lemon and some grapefruit. Medium body with bright carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Poured clear dark brown color with a large frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted sweety malt and small lemon hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew that I would recommend to a freind.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at the mad mex at atwood. Yes, brown in color with a thin tan head. Smells a little hoppy for a brown ale. A little bitter but goes down fairly easy. As the swigs continue, I think it gets a little more mild. Does not really seem to fall into the brown ale category as far as style goes. Fairly mild overall and the 6% listed for this beer is not really apparent in the taste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Mahars. Pours brown with a small head. Aroma was slight but pleasantly sweet. Flavor was devoid of hops and sweetness was a bit much.
