COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To commemorate an important milestone in Anchor Brewing’s long history, a special ale seemed appropriate. Having found and experimented with a very rare and unusual hop variety called Nelson Sauvin, we knew that its unique character would impart a wonderful flavor and aroma to a pale ale brewed especially for the occasion: Humming Ale.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden yellow to orange colour with a decent, compact white head. Smells malts, lemongrass, slightly hoppy. Tastes malts, lemongrass, at the same time sweet, also quite bitter. Could use a bit more sweetness/fruityness because this is so bitter it feels a bit dry. Medium body, active and fitting carbo.

Medium to dark gold with a slight haze and a creamy, very lacy, lasting, off-white head. Lovely smell of citrus hops- grapefruit, orange and malt with light pine. Medium oily to thin body with light carbonation. Tastes primarily of citrus hops with some pine which is balanced well against the fruity peach tastes and a slightly grassy bitter finish. Nice blence between the citrus, sweetness and the bitter. Yet the pine finish is not the best for my taste. Nonetheless, very solid beer.

Citrus and floral aroma and taste. Subtle yet flavorful, this was an enjoyable pale ale.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with thick white head; plenty of lacing. Aroma is citrus, light tropical fruit, sweet sherbet, delicate floral notes, and a touch of bready-malt. Taste starts with a nice little citrus zing - like fizzy sherbet lemons - followed by some floral and herbal notes and some bready and light caramel malt. Pretty light and well balanced. Medium/light mouthfeel. Light citrus and tropical fruit sweet notes in the aftertaste. Very refreshing.

Thin white head of fine bubbles. Light carbonation. Lemony aroma with some light cereal grains and fresh spring air. I know, weird! Color is a golden orange. Light crisp flavor with more lemon, flowers, light malts and a moderate bitterness. Rather dry finish and easy drinking. A no frills pale ale. Prtty good.

12fl oz bottle. Herbal, fresh citrus aromas. Pours murky orange, with thin white head, vanishing, poor lacing. Light body, average to high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is herbal, slightly citrus. Short dry aftertaste. Enjoyable.

A very fruity aroma, grapefruit and citrus, a light bitter smell of hops. The white foamy-creamy head is medium large and has a normal duration. The body is dark orange. The taste is quite bitter and astringent, a lot of hops. The body is rather light, very dry with a lively carbonation. A good beer.

Intriguing nose with some sweet floral notes and a gentle sourness. Pours gold with a quickly dissipating head. Taste is great - citric, bitter and full of fruit with a long dry finish. Slight candy notes and banana sweetness add depth. A little overcarbed, but nevertheless a fine ale.
