3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 OKplus (560) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 11, 2013
12oz bottle served into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass.
A - Pours a hazy golden amber with 2 fingers of frothy off-white head. Good retention pretty nice lacing.
S - Lemon pith, wintergreen, pine needles, honey, fresh grain, lavender.
T - Bright citrus, minty wintergreen, honey covered grains, cantaloupe, fresh basil. Starts to get peppery toward the finish. Finishes skunky, herbal and minty.
M - Heavy side of medium weight, lush feel, moderate creamy carbonation.
Very fresh flavors with an interesting hop profile. Good pale malts provide just the right amount of sweetness.
Not a knockout, but plenty here to keep you occupied.

Nice orange-red body with a foammy white head that goes away after some minutes. Smells of malt, fruit -especially orange. Tastes like fruits, more of them peach, and hoppy bitterness. Same aftertaste.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Xstream (123) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 31, 2013
Wow, this is one special beer! Smell is a little weird, like grass, hay, overripe fruits, sour hop. Somehow smelling like a stable or barnyard. The flavor is more fresh. A combination of ripe fruits, yeast, bread, cereal and hay. Quickly followed by a deep hoppy bitter flavor. Almost like licorice, which reminds me of stout. The finish has a dry bitter hoppy kick which lingers for a long time. It’s a very different kind of beer. Like it a lot :) The only downside is that it’s not a beer you easily drink a few off.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy light amber with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, citrus and flowers. Hoppy onset, gradually replaced by intense flowery notes with touches of fruit and citrus. Lingering, dry finish. Well-balanced. A nice one.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 reverendj (175) - Brunswick, Georgia, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Were all of Anchor’s beers like this and Old Foghorn I would be a huge fan! Very light floral nose that finds its way into the taste. Lemons, crackers, and a curious amount of fresh apple backed by a spritzy carbonation. A light refreshing ale that begs for a can so it will be at home on the beach.

Good frothy head, amber clear colour. Nice taste from first sip. Aroma was malty with a bite. Aftertaste a little bitter. Like the label. Manly label, manly beer.
