I was missing out in my opinion. Smells of some citrus and pine on the nose. Pours a nice golden color with good white head. Fantastic balanced medium mouthfeel with a great crisp and clean finish. a great balanced hop flavor with citrus and some pine. Smooth bitter back end ... | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Poured out a nice, clear orange beer with a small amount white bubbs but they stick around for quite awhile and gives out nice lacing. The aroma is excellent and lacks heavy hopping (yay!), sweet, citrus, orange, floral and great malts - none of which are overly strong. The taste is pretty good but I seem to find the hops a bit flat but who cares as this is good and easy drinking. Lemon, biscuit, herbal, a bit spicy... a very good drink indeed. Now I’m wishing that this leaned even farther towards an English PA. Heavily carbonated, too much actually, makes it seem a bit rough - very tart and zingy. Finishes very well. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Bottle into pint glass. A great copper pour with just a slight amount of haze and a big fluffy off-white head that holds its own pretty well. The aroma is OUTSTANDING and far better than I expected from this or any other American Pale - sweet malt, subtle hops, bubblegum, cotton candy. The flavor is good, but less startlingly amazing. Strats off with a strange bitterness - not like hop bitterness, but a weird acidic bitterness. Maybe it is weird oxidation. Anyways, this is followed by an old Belgian Candi flavor. Finish is amber and pale malt. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Leaves the mouth a bit dry. Overall: this thing could be a real winner if it weren’t for the strange flavor. I am nearly certain it has to be oxidation or something off. Still not bad though. I want to try this fresh on tap at the brewhouse to do it justice. Joakgust (340), Stockholm, Sweden
